Let's hear a little bit about the driver - What's your name and where are you from?
Name's John Sena and I'm from Florida.
What got you into modifying cars and what kept you in it?
My first car was a 1991 vw jetta alpine white in 1995 my dad bought me for my first car...since i was little i was a car guy like my dad who was a tech by trade. since then I've owned over 200 vws as I buyem ,fixem up , enjoy , and sellem and start over lol....currently own 5 vws
Ok ok ok... Tell us about your ride, what is it?
1992 GLI - it was a tribute build in my Dad’s memory since he passed while I was in Afghanistan. I did an R32 motor swap and a full respray and restoration of the car with as many new parts I could find.
Exterior Mods?
On the exterior I’ve got full g60 arches, rallye front with swg grill lip on badgeless grill. few custom badges and some hydro-dipped pieces inside and out done by Statement Hydrographics.
Interior Mods?
On the inside I wanted that stockish look but with a little modern feel so i went with a mk6 gli steering wheel and mk4 shift knob and shifter assy for smooth precise shifting. the original cluster I had custom faces made one having my dads pic on the tach cause he's always riding with me.
Anything special under the hood?
R32 24-Valve VR6 Engine. The R motor swap was made possible by a good buddy Ramon and the guys at Autohaas in NJ. Had a few good people along way make all this possible where i wasn’t able to things myself.
What are some things you've done to your car that others might not notice?

There’s a few more things in store for this car before being officially done(lol) but true.
