Hello there! i’m ralph & i’m originally from Cape May NJ, but i’ve been living in Philly for about 7 years now.
What got you into modifying cars and what kept you in it?
i was obsessed with toy cars when i was a young lil baby boy but i actually got into cars from seeing some bmx friends with lowered mk3s & mk2s. i just fell in love with the look.
i ended up finally getting a mk3 and really loving the vw culture. i then got into 90s japanese stuff and stance cars so i felt like tossing away the traditional mk3 cookie cutter build and go my own different way taking influence from many things <3
Ok ok ok... Tell us about your ride, what is it?
wellll cats outta the bag (who tf puts cats in bags. don’t do that. it’s animal abuse) but as i previously said... i own a mk3. it’s a non rusted 1998 vw golf.
Exterior Mods?
lots of stickers. bbs rm wheels 15x8.5 / 15x9.5 euro bumpers. sunroof visor. euro hatch. badgeless grill. maybe other stuff. i forget.
Interior Mods?
oh boy. uhh this is gonna be long....
mk3.5 dash & buttons, pink floyd blanks, party seats. mk3.5 ashtray + door handles, fancy door speakers with a nice sub after my first one got stolen :( bfi shift knob, some trinkets n treasures, plus lots and lots of special lights i hooked up to make the interior look like a strip club space ship
Anything special under the hood?
hmm uh 5 speed swap, 272 cam, stage 2 tube & a very banged up oil pan.
What are some things you've done to your car that others might not notice?
there is hidden gems all over the outside & inside of the car. people usually stare at it for a long time pointing out things <3
