Let's hear a little bit about the driver - What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Drew Duncan I and 18 years old and from central Washington State.
What got you into modifying cars and what kept you in it?
My older brother got me into cars when I was young and he got his first car. He started modifying his car and I fell in love. I began to hang out with him and our car friends when I was 15. All the good memories and meeting lots of new people in the car community have kept me into modifying and building cars.
Ok ok ok... Tell us about your ride, what is it?
It is a 1980 Volkswagen rabbit pickup truck that I got when I was 16 and began to restore and modify it.
Exterior Mods?
Oh man I don’t know where to start. I have a new paint job on the truck that I did myself. I have the truck sitting on Gotti 150 wheels and riding on airlift performance bags in the front and air lift D2600 bags in the rear with drop plates. I have a roof rack made by crafted obsession. A few of my favorite things on the truck are the kamei front air damn, kamei hood scoop and caddy pan roll pan.
Interior Mods?
I restored the interior to look pretty stock. I changed a few things like the rabbit rear seat that I’m using as a bench seat and I put on a Momo super indy steering wheel.
Anything special under the hood?
I have a vr6 swap that is done with S&P Automotive’s swap kit. The harness is made by TDC shop. The motor is pretty much stock. I will be doing cams this winter. I also have a Eurosport front strut bar.
What are some things you've done to your car that others might not notice?
The biggest thing is what the truck started out as when I got it to what it is now. The truck was sitting since 1996 and I just got it back on the road last year after a full restoration that I did the past few years.
Anything else you'd like to add? (could be about anything)
Check out a good buddy of mine @crafted_obsession for custom mk1 roof racks, they are awesome.
